Senegal 1–3 France
For sixty-six minutes Senegal held the tournament's most valued squad at arm's length, and there is real credit in that. Then the dam broke: Mbappe twice, Barcola in between, and a contest that had been level dissolved inside half an hour. Their goalkeeper made five saves before being beaten, and Ibrahim Mbaye's stoppage-time strike, set up by Iliman Ndiaye, gave the scoreline a dignity the night deserved. Beaten by the better side, but never embarrassed by them. Senegal will know there was a game here for longer than the final margin suggests.

Senegal 2–3 Norway
Senegal will wonder how they lost this one. They had nearly three-fifths of the ball and sixteen shots to Norway's thirteen, and in Ismaila Sarr a man who would not let the game die — his brace twice hauling them back into it. But Norway were ruthless where Senegal were busy: Erling Haaland's two goals and Pedersen's opener came from far less. Four shots on target to seven is the number that hurt. Sarr struck again at the death to set up a grandstand finish that never quite arrived. Deserved more, got nothing.

Senegal 5–0 Iraq
Senegal were imperious, and Iraq's afternoon was effectively over by the quarter-hour. Habib Diarra struck inside four minutes, and when Rebin Sulaka was sent off in the thirteenth, a contest became an exercise. From there Senegal simply turned the screw: Ismaila Sarr, a Pape Gueye brace and an Iliman Ndiaye finish completed a five-goal afternoon built on twenty-eight shots and 3.1 expected goals. Iraq's goalkeeper made seven saves and somehow kept it to five. Ruthless, controlled, and exactly the statement a side with ambitions wants to make.

Senegal 2–3 Belgium
Senegal will replay this one for years. For ninety minutes they were the better side by a distance — an expected-goals line of 3.54 to 1.8, two goals up through Habib Diarra and Ismaïla Sarr, Belgium chasing shadows. Then it unravelled: Romelu Lukaku on eighty-six, Youri Tielemans on eighty-nine, and a Tielemans penalty at the very end of extra time. To create that much and lose is the cruelty of knockout football distilled. Senegal were not beaten on merit. They are beaten all the same.

Friendship blends realized national co-starts with a club-chemistry bonus, so a settled XI and a club-spine squad both score high. Near 100 the total eases so the most-settled squads stay separated rather than all tying out. Gold lines trace the spine: teammates who share a club right now.
